Norris Aquatics Center

The Norris Aquatics Center is an absolutely top-tier facility and a fantastic place to get a great workout. The Olympic-sized pool is consistently kept at the perfect temperature, and the water quality is incredibly clean and well-maintained. Switching up my usual heavy gym routine with some challenging laps here has been a phenomenal way to balance my workouts and recover. The facility offers plenty of lanes, so even during busier hours, you rarely have to wait long to jump in and start swimming. The locker rooms are spacious, secure, and always spotless, which makes the whole experience so much more comfortable from start to finish. The staff and lifeguards are also very professional, friendly, and attentive, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. I highly recommend this center to anyone looking for a world-class swimming facility!

Great pool with friendly staff and regulars. It’s not a written rule, but lanes are usually capped at two people per lane since it’s not divided up by speed. NU teams/clubs and a kids swim team uses the pool as well so it’s usually a bit busy in the evening, but not that bad. There’s free parking before 8am and after 4pm on weekdays, and weekend parking is free. They have towels and some swim equipment you can borrow for free, and you can purchase goggles. They keep their schedule, lane assignments, and closings updated very regularly on their website. Overall a great facility worth the membership price, I just wish there was a pool-only membership option.

This pool is massive, 50 meters by 25 yards. There’s usually a lane to swim in but there are many different teams that utilize the facility. Often there are youth swim teams and the northwestern team. The place is pretty clean but also frequented by thousands of people. It’s usually very busy and fairly crowded. I have yet to go and there are not tons of people. Maybe during work/school hours it’s less busy.

We were there for a swim meet against Northwestern and now I know why it is such a sort after college. It is an amazing campus and the pool was comfortable and well laid out. You could watch the diving at the same time as the swimming events. Only downside is swimmers at the side if the pool blocked the swim events but they were supporting their swimmers and it made for a fun atmosphere.

Great pool! It’s a nice place to swim here! Water can be cold but you get used to it.
